Carli Dominator 3.0 Long Arm Leveling System Base Kit

The Carli Dominator 3.0 Long Arm Leveling System is a no-compromise, all-around suspension system designed for 2003–2009 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 diesel trucks. This system converts the front end to Carli’s fabricated long-arm setup and pairs it with long-travel King 3.0 inch shocks, a torsion sway bar, and full progressive rear leaf springs for excellent on-road comfort, increased control, and serious off-road capability.

The long-arm design delivers a softer, more controlled ride while increasing articulation and axle travel. The Carli fabricated long arms are over 50% longer than the factory arms and use 3/16 inch construction with internal gusseting for strength, extended travel capability, and a more linear travel stroke.

Dominator Shock Details:

• Carli-specific, blueprinted, long-travel King 3.0 inch shocks

• Long-arm specific valving for extended travel and long-arm geometry

• 17-4 stainless steel shock shafts for durability and corrosion resistance

• OD end cap, weld-on rod end, and custom fittings for proper shock tower fitment

• King shock oil rated to -55 degrees Fahrenheit

• Designed for 12 inch travel shocks with 6.25 inch slide-over shock towers

• King shocks use plated steel bodies

Long Arm System Details:

• Requires cutting off the factory control arm mounts to install Carli drop brackets

• Long arms are over 50% longer than factory arms

• 3/16 inch fabricated construction

Front Suspension Details:

• 6.25 inch slide-over shock towers ease installation and accommodate longer 12 inch travel shocks

• 1 inch front bump stop drops and limit straps help ensure safe use of shock travel

• Long-arm system shifts the front axle operating range down 1 inch

• Provides approximately 3 inches more down-travel than a short-arm system while sacrificing only 1 inch of up-travel

• Balanced travel setup helps maintain front tire contact over rough terrain

Rear Leaf Spring Details:

• Full progressive leaf pack replaces the factory rear leaf spring assembly

• Provides approximately 1.5 to 2 inches of rear lift

• Increases travel and improves comfort through the full usable stroke

• Reduces payload by approximately 15% from a standard 2500

• Payload capacity can be supplemented with Carli Long Travel Airbags for added load support

Sway Bar Details:

• Includes Carli torsion sway bar as standard equipment

• No option for extended sway bar links or add-a-packs on this system

• Torsion sway bar replaces the factory sway bar assembly

• Uses a torsion bar supported by fabricated drop brackets and Delrin bushings

• Includes fabricated sway bar arms and dual 5/8 inch FK heim end links

• Helps improve articulation while maintaining control

Notes:

• Factory control arm mounts must be cut off for installation.

• Full progressive leaf springs reduce payload by approximately 15% from a standard 2500.

• Payload reduction can be supplemented with Carli Long Travel Airbags.

• Linear rate front coils are used because multi-rate coil free height is too short for the droop potential of this system.

• Adjustable track bar helps correct the front axle shift caused by lifting a straight axle truck.

• King shocks use plated steel bodies. If exposed to harsh weather for extended periods, Carli recommends wrapping the shocks with 3M protective film as a replaceable moisture barrier.

Wheel and Tire Fitment:

• Fits up to 37 x 12.5 inch tires on 17 to 18 inch wheels with 4.5 inches of backspacing.

• Significant trimming of stock fenders and front bumper is required for 37 inch tires.

• With fiberglass fenders, a 37 x 13.5 inch tire may be possible.

• This system was tuned with 17 inch wheels and 37 inch Toyo M/T tires at 40 PSI front and 35 PSI rear.

• Larger wheel diameters may result in a firmer ride due to reduced tire sidewall.
